Figma → Elementor

Lowercross Design Conversion

Full case study

Client: Lower Cross, a digital growth and strategy firm based in Greenwich, CT, working with DTC brands and private equity portfolios.

Role: WordPress developer — Figma to Elementor Pro conversion
Stack: WordPress, Elementor Pro, Custom CSS, GTM, Google Site Kit

The brief

The client had a finished Figma design for a long-scrolling, dark-themed marketing site and needed it built in WordPress so their own team could update copy, case studies, and press mentions without a developer. The design was visually dense — heavy use of italic accent type, mixed-weight headings, logo walls, statistic blocks, and a testimonial section with video playback — so the main challenge was matching the design precisely while keeping the page fast and genuinely editable.

What I built

  • Full one-page layout with smooth anchor navigation across About, Our Work, Services, Press, Leadership, Testimonials, and Contact sections.
  • Theme Builder templates for the header and footer, including a sticky navigation bar with a logo swap between the dark and light brand marks, plus a full-screen mobile menu.
  • Global design system set up in Elementor’s Site Settings so typography, brand colors, and spacing are controlled from one place rather than hardcoded per widget.
  • Case study section driven by a custom post type and category taxonomy, so each card pulls its own industry label, headline, metric set (+400% revenue, 32x ROAS, and so on), and summary from the CMS.
  • Press and insights grid pulling from categorized posts, each linking to a full article template.
  • Infinite logo marquees for the media mentions and client logo wall, using SVG assets so they stay sharp at any screen size.
  • Animated counters for the impact statistics ($2B+ in sales, 100B+ impressions, $600M media spend).
  • Testimonial carousel with a YouTube lightbox for video quotes and a text-quote variant for press endorsements.
  • Lead qualification form in two placements, with a monthly-budget dropdown to pre-qualify enquiries, plus a newsletter signup with a privacy-consent checkbox.
  • Elementor Popup triggered from the primary call to action.
  • Analytics and SEO setup: Google Tag Manager, Google Site Kit, Open Graph and Twitter Card metadata for clean link previews.

Attention to detail

Rather than approximating the Figma file, I rebuilt the spacing scale, type ramp, and section rhythm from the design tokens so the build matched the comp at every breakpoint. Images were served as WebP and AVIF where possible, logos as inline SVG, and repeated components were saved as global widgets so the client can update a block once and have it change everywhere it appears.

Result

A production-ready marketing site the client’s team maintains themselves. New case studies and press items are added through the WordPress editor with no layout work required, and the page structure supports section-level tracking for their paid campaigns.
